This year we have funded a project to provide solar power to homes and schools in Tanzania. Having access to solar power reduces the use of fossils fuels, helping to combat climate change, as well as changing lives for the better in a range of ways, extending the hours available for work, education and social activities, as well as providing access to things that we would consider basics, such as refrigeration and electronics.
The project contributes to 9 SDGs. Details of how each is impacted, along with more information, including a short video, is available on the My Climate website: Solar Energy for Education and Jobs in Tanzania (myclimate.org)
