Financial Planning

Successful financial planners need to have a wide set of skills. Not only do they need to have a high level of technical knowledge, in order to asses your situation as a client and see risks or opportunities within your financial planning, they need as well to be able to communicate what can be very complex issues to clients in a way that they can understand and which allows them to make informed decisions. We believe that the highest quality advice comes from the most highly qualified individuals and to that end we expect all of our financial planners to achieve the status of Chartered Financial Planner, this being an industry-wide acknowledgment of excellence.

However, alongside this high level of technical knowledge, we believe that it is important to have specialists within the practice that can provide an even greater depth of knowledge within an area to ensure that the recommendations made to our clients are of the very highest level. To that end, as well as the financial planners developing specialisations in certain areas, we have built a Research Team to support them and now have specialists in the following areas:

  • Cashflow modelling
  • Pre-retirement planning, including all forms of pension planning.
  • At Retirement and Post-retirement planning, including phased retirement.
  • Investment management, both onshore and offshore.
  • Risk profiling.
  • Estate preservation, including Inheritance Tax planning and Trust work.

In addition we are experienced in co-ordinating with third parties, where appropriate, as including a client’s accountant or solicitor can be key in ensuring that the financial planning is co-ordinated across all areas.
