Bill joined the financial services profession after spending 12 years in the Armed Forces. In the nearly 30 years that he has been in his ‘second career’, he has a filled a variety of roles, including Compliance and sales management. However, having settled into advising in more recent years, he joined the business in 2016 to work alongside Brendan in the Financial Planning Team.

He lives in Gloucestershire with his wife Janet, his children Gary & Nicola having long since left home, and in his spare time enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorbike.

Financial Planner

Andy has worked in a variety of roles in a financial services career spanning 35 years, having previously served in the RAF. However, the majority of the time has been spent advising clients, the role that he fills today, having joined the business in 2015.

He lives in Kent with his wife, Jacqui, who is also his assistant, and his sons, Richard and James. His favourite pastimes include golf and good wine, ideally combined.

Clara joined the team in September 2020 to work alongside Brendan in the Financial Planning Team. She is a maths graduate who has worked in financial services since 2017, getting a grounding in both administration and research before moving into her current role.

She lives in Longworth with her partner and in her spare time loves baking and participating in any sport but especially kayaking.

Chief Investment Officer

Andrew has worked in financial services for more than 30 years in a variety of roles, starting as a Financial Planner and achieving Chartered status in 2006. He worked in this role for several years within Phoenix before setting up and heading the Research Team. However, his current role as CIO focuses on the investment part of the business, chairing our in-house Investment Committee (IC) and sitting on the joint ICs with Smart Investment Management and LGT Vestra that are responsible for the day-to-day management of our discretionary portfolios.

He lives in Witney with his wife, Karolina, and their two sons, Maximilian and Tobias, splitting his time between the Witney and London offices. Whilst he says relaxation time is at a premium with a young family, whenever the chance arises it involves sport (he is an Arsenal and Wasps fan), music and reading any book available but especially historical works.

Investment Analyst

Jennifer joined the company permanently in 2011, having previously provided temporary Maternity Leave cover. Having started in a Client Services role, she moved into the Investment Team in 2015 and, along with the CIO, supports the Financial Planners by providing a range of investment solutions. Her role includes fund research, portfolio analysis and performance reporting, as well as presenting at our regular client events.

She is based in our London office and lives in Surrey with her husband, Darren, and two sons, Harrison and George, spending what little free time the boys allow catching up with friends and family.

Senior Paraplanner

Emona is the newest addition the team, having joined the Research Team in November 2021. Originally from Bulgaria, she came to the UK at 19 to study at Glasgow Caledonian University, obtaining a First Class Honours degree in Finance, Investment and Risk. She has continued her studies whilst forging her career in financial services, obtaining Chartered Financial Planner status shortly after joining the firm.

Emona lives in south London with her enormous pet rabbit and, whenever she has free time, you will find her at the stables indulging her love of horses and riding.

Tom Mcmahon

Head of Research

Tom has been in financial services for over 35 years, during which time he has filled a wide variety of roles, from bank manager to technical consultant. He joined the business in 2012 and is responsible for its research and administration functions. He provides technical support to the Financial Planners and is our technical specialist or ‘in-house anorak’, whilst he has ultimate responsibility for the administration functions within the business, with the Head of Client Services reporting to him.

Tom is based in our London office, lives in Essex with his wife, Carol, and his daughter, Briony, and says that his spare time consists of walking the dog!

Marinela trained as an international lawyer before moving into financial services nearly 20 years ago. She joined the business in 2016, based in our London office, and provides technical support to the Financial Planners. Originally from Romania, she moved to the UK in 2010 and now lives in West London, spending as much of her spare time as possible with her niece.

Head of Client Services

Daiva joined the business in 2003 and, having worked in both the Client Services and Research Teams, now runs the Client Services Team from our London office.

Originally from Kaunas in Lithuania, she came to the UK in 1998 and lives in south east London. She has two children, Dominic and Marija, and recently became a grandmother.

Client Services

Denise is based in our Witney office, having joined the business in 2000. She has worked in a variety of roles, including as a Paraplanner, and currently uses that research experience to deal with the more technical aspects of work within Client Services.

Denise lives in Milton-Under-Wychwood with her husband Glyn and, now that her two daughters have left home, spends her spare time developing her interest in gardening and going on country walks (ideally to a good country pub).

Yvette has been based in our Witney office since joining the business in June 2014. As a member of the Client Services Team, she deals with a wide variety of tasks, from client enquiries to the processing of new business.

Yvette lives in Witney with her husband Pete, their son Tom having left home, and in her spare time loves listening to music and spending time with friends and family.

Angela has worked in our Witney office since 1998 in a variety of roles. As Brendan’s P.A. she is responsible for managing his diary, as well as organising our regular Client Presentations. Whilst she is originally from the valleys of Wales, she has lived in Witney since she was 5 years old. Married to Duncan, she has two grown-up boys, Mark and Steven, and now that they have left home spends her newly found free time catching up with family and friends.

Jacqui began her career in banking, which is where she met her husband Andy, for whom she now works as a P.A.. Out of work, her long-term hobby has involved running with her ‘agility’ dog, Jazz, but, more recently, she has focused on planting a new garden from scratch.

Ian has approaching 40 years experience in financial services, originally as a Financial Planner but more recently specializing in mortgages. He joined Phoenix Wealth Management in 2009 and is based in our London, providing advice to clients on all aspects of property purchase, including how best to raise any finance needed and the selection of the most suitable lender.

He lives in Essex with his wife Sarah and their 3 sons, Alexander, Nicholas and Oliver. His spare time consists of sport, both participating to keep fit and spectating, and listening to music.

Roz joined the business in 2011 and has nearly 20 years’ experience in mortgage administration. She is responsible for liaising with lenders from the point of the mortgage application onwards, ensuring that all mortgages offers are successfully received by clients before coordinating with solicitors or any other third parties to ensure that these offers proceed to completion.

Roz lives in Surrey with her husband, Joe, and their two young children, Luca and Siena, and spends the little free time that she has dreaming of having more free time!
